Description

The Guarani Aquifer, located beneath Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay and is one of the world´s largest aquifer systems. Named after the Guarani tribe, it is estimated to contain about 37,000 km³ of water, arguably the largest single body of groundwater in the world, with a total recharge rate of about 166 km³/year from precipitation. The aquifer consists primarily of sedimented sand stones deposited during the Triassic and Jurassic periods (200 million years ago) and over 90% of the area is overlaid with igneous basalt of low-permeability, providing a high degree of protection. Bottled at its source and extracted from an 250 ft (80 m) deep well under the highest safety and quality standards, no additives or processes are inflicted to this water. Gota ´Ice Cubes´ are available in trays of six. The ice cubes are designed to melt slowly and be refrozen. The product is packaged entirely in recyclable materials.
